Amusan Clinches Fifth Straight National 100m Hurdles Title in Lagos

Tobi Amusan reaffirmed her dominance in the women’s 100m hurdles by clinching her fifth consecutive national crown at the 2025 Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) National Trials, held at the Yaba College of Technology Sports Complex in Lagos.

In a commanding performance, the world record holder blazed through the finish line in 12.57 seconds, comfortably ahead of her rivals Adaobi Tabugbo (13.03s) and Faith Osamuyi (13.36s).

This victory marks her fifth national title in succession, further cementing her legacy as Nigeria’s most accomplished hurdler. Amusan has now defended her national crown over four years, with earlier titles secured in both Lagos and Benin City.
