VeryDarkMan Claims He Urged Naira Marley to Detain Iyabo Ojo Over Mohbad Controversy

In a recent revelation, social media activist Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), disclosed that he advised Afrobeats artist Naira Marley to detain actress Iyabo Ojo for her alleged role in tarnishing the image of the late singer Mohbad. This disclosure adds another layer to the ongoing drama surrounding Mohbad’s death and the subsequent public outcry.

According to VDM, he suggested to Naira Marley that they should pursue legal action against Iyabo Ojo for defamation and cyberbullying. However, during a meeting at the Lagos State Commissioner of Police’s office, Iyabo Ojo reportedly apologized in Yoruba, leading Naira Marley to forgive her. VDM expressed his disappointment, stating that he had anticipated a more stringent response. He further claimed that Sam Larry, an associate of Naira Marley, was visibly upset upon witnessing the apology.

This incident is part of a broader series of allegations made by VDM, who has accused several celebrities of manipulating public narratives surrounding Mohbad’s death. He alleged the existence of a secret WhatsApp group, led by Iyabo Ojo, which included figures like music producer Samklef and actor Jigan Baba Oja. VDM contends that this group was used to spread misinformation and orchestrate his arrest to silence his activism.

The controversy intensified when VDM leaked a WhatsApp conversation in which Iyabo Ojo criticized singer Davido for allegedly chasing clout with Mohbad’s case. In the chat, she expressed disappointment that Davido continued to follow Naira Marley on social media, suggesting insincerity in his support for the late singer. In response, Davido unfollowed Iyabo Ojo on Instagram, further fueling the public dispute.

These developments have sparked widespread debate on social media, with fans and observers questioning the motives behind the actions of the involved parties. The situation remains fluid, and further revelations are anticipated as the investigation into Mohbad’s death continues.
