Student leaders from various higher institutions in Osun State have praised Governor Ademola Adeleke’s administration, asserting that it has surpassed the 12-year record of the All Progressives Congress (APC) government in just 32 months. This endorsement highlights the remarkable progress made by Adeleke’s government, especially in areas such as education, infrastructure, and governance.
According to the students, the Adeleke administration has implemented significant reforms in the education sector, renovating 31 schools, constructing 45 kilometers of roads, and providing 332 functional boreholes across the state. These initiatives are seen as critical steps to address the infrastructural deficits inherited from the previous government and to improve the learning environment for students across Osun.

In addition to education, the administration has shown a strong commitment to the welfare of retirees by paying over N12.7 billion in pension arrears, surpassing the N11.1 billion paid during the entire APC tenure. This move has been widely commended as it reflects a dedication to honoring obligations and improving the lives of pensioners in the state.
Healthcare improvements have also been a focus under Governor Adeleke’s leadership. The government has invested in rehabilitating health facilities and recruiting medical personnel, aiming to enhance the quality and accessibility of healthcare services for residents. These efforts have been welcomed as vital for the well-being of the populace.
Moreover, the administration launched an ambitious N100 billion infrastructure agenda, targeting the rehabilitation of roads, waterworks, and other critical infrastructure across Osun State. This comprehensive plan seeks to tackle longstanding infrastructural challenges and lay a solid foundation for sustainable development.
Despite these positive assessments from student leaders, the APC opposition has criticized the government, describing its achievements as “motion without movement.” They have expressed concerns regarding the management of federal allocations and grants, and questioned some policy reversals enacted by the current administration.
Nonetheless, the endorsement from Osun’s student community underscores the significant progress made by Governor Adeleke’s government in a relatively short time. The focus on education, infrastructure, and welfare has resonated strongly with the youth and many residents, positioning Osun State on a promising path toward sustained growth and development.
