As Nigerians usher in 2026, Senator Tokunbo Abiru has extended warm greetings to citizens across the country, calling for a moment of collective reflection on the gains recorded in the past year and a renewed commitment to national progress.

In his New Year message, the Senator emphasized the importance of gratitude and introspection, noting that despite economic and social challenges, Nigerians demonstrated resilience, unity, and determination throughout the previous year. He urged citizens to recognize incremental achievements made at both national and community levels, stressing that sustainable development is built on consistent effort and shared responsibility.

Senator Abiru highlighted improvements in areas such as civic engagement, infrastructure development, and growing awareness of good governance, describing them as foundations upon which greater progress can be achieved in 2026. He encouraged Nigerians to remain hopeful and proactive, adding that meaningful change requires patience, discipline, and cooperation between leaders and the governed.

The lawmaker also reaffirmed his commitment to effective representation and people-centered policies, promising to continue supporting initiatives that promote economic stability, youth empowerment, and social inclusion. According to him, the lessons learned from the past year should guide decisions and actions in the new one.

Concluding his message, Senator Abiru called on Nigerians to embrace unity beyond political, ethnic, or religious lines, describing national cohesion as essential for overcoming persistent challenges.
