British boxing star Anthony Joshua has been discharged from hospital following a car accident in Nigeria that left him injured and claimed the lives of two members of his team.

The two-time former heavyweight world champion was involved in the crash on the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway while traveling in a convoy. Joshua sustained minor injuries and was taken to a private hospital in Lagos, where he was kept under observation for several days. Medical officials later confirmed that he was in stable condition and fit to continue his recovery outside the hospital.
The accident resulted in the tragic deaths of Joshua’s personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach, casting a shadow over what had been a routine visit to the country. The boxer, who has strong family ties to Nigeria, was said to be deeply affected by the loss and has been receiving support from family, friends, and members of the boxing community.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash, while road safety concerns have again been raised due to the frequency of serious accidents on major highways across the country.
Since news of the incident broke, tributes and messages of support have poured in from fans, fellow athletes, and sports officials around the world. As he continues his recovery, Anthony Joshua is expected to take time away from public activities while mourning the loss of his colleagues.
