The Anambra State Police Command has launched a joint security operation, codenamed “Operation Udo ga-achi” or “Operation Zero Kidnapping,” aimed at tackling kidnapping and other violent crimes in the state. This initiative marks a renewed commitment to addressing security challenges in the Southeast region, particularly during the Easter celebrations and beyond.

Objectives of the Operation

- Dislodge Criminal Elements: Through massive raids on identified criminal flashpoints and hot spots within their Areas of Responsibility.
- Stay Ahead of Criminal Threats: By leveraging intelligence-gathering and proactive measures such as targeted patrols, stop-and-search operations, and swift response teams.
